Three persons killed by explosion in Baku

A family of three perished tonight as a result of an explosion in a private house in the capital of Azerbaijan.

The explosion, followed by a fire, occurred in a one-storey two-room house, the Azerbaijani Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has reported.

The bodies of a man, born in 1962, and two women, born in 1956 and 1993, were found at the site of the fire; all of them were members of one family.

The explosion was a result of violating the rules of operating gas appliances, a law enforcement source of the Yasamal District told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
