From December 31, 2018, to January 6, 2019, two persons fell victim to armed conflict

During the week of December 31, 2018, to January 6, 2019, in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus two persons suffered: one person was killed and one was wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The casualty is a civilian from Ingushetia.

Attacks on civilians

On December 31, in Nazran (Ingushetia), unidentified persons, who moved in a car, shelled another car driven by Abo Aushev, a 28-year-old resident of the village of Surkhakhi. As a result, Ibragim Belkharoev, a 46-year-old great-grandson of Sheikh Batal-Haji Belkhoroev, who was a passenger of the second car, was killed. The driver Aushev was hospitalized with serious wounds. Ibragim Belkharoev is a descendant of Sheikh Batal-Haji Belkhoroev, who headed one of the trends of Islam in Ingushetia in the 19th-early 20th centuries. However, the descendant received no religious education and was not a sheikh. He had close ties with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
