During the period from December 30, 2018, to January 5, 2019, Azerbaijani soldiers fired 1000 shots at the positions of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the latter has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 23-29, 2018, the MoD of the NKR, an unrecognized republic, counted 150 shelling attacks on its positions; and in total in 2018, there were about 10,000 such attacks.
