Woman wounded in Karabakh conflict zone

On December 26, an elderly Azerbaijani woman was wounded during shelling of a border village. Doctors helped her, the Agdam district authorities have stated.

Today, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported 26 cases of truce violation in the Karabakh conflict zone. According to the MoD, the shelling was carried out, among other weapons, from large-calibre machine guns.

Dilshad Allakhverdieva, a 73-year-old resident of Baku, was wounded during the shelling of the village of Mirashelli in the Agdam District, a source from the regional administration told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"With her relatives, she came to visit the graves of her nephew and brother in the cemetery of the frontline village of Mirashelli," he has explained.

According to the authorities, the woman was wounded in the head. She has already been discharged from the hospital.
