In Makhachkala, about 340 people protest against pension reform

In Makhachkala, about 340 people came to a rally against the pension reform sanctioned by the authorities. The event was organized by local Communists.

On September 23, the rally was held in the Lenin Komsomol Park in Makhachkala. The city authorities refused the organizers to hold the event at other venues and "referred to some alleged circumstances," said Ruslan Lugovoi, a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).

He believes the municipal "authorities try not to focus the attention of city residents on the problem of pension reform."

"There is a strong lobbying for the law at the federal level. The regional authorities are just executors," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Ruslan Lugovoi.

According to him, the number of participants in the today's rally indicates that the protest against pension reform among the population is growing.
