Doctors tell about health condition of policemen wounded in Dagestan

The policemen did not receive any wounds dangerous for life, the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 29, at about 11:00 p.m. Moscow time, in the village of Toturbijkala in the Khasavyurt District, an unknown man opened fire on policemen, who asked him to present documents. According to the MIA, two wounded policemen were hospitalized.

According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", since the start of 2018, the August 29 attack on policemen, committed in the Khasavyurt District, was the sixth one on law enforcers in Dagestan and the first one in this district.

According to a MIA source, doctors assess the state of the wounded policemen as stable. "None of the bullets touched any vital organs," the source has explained.

The attack on the policemen was not a pre-planned one, a law enforcement source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "Policemen stopped cars to check documents; when they checked documents of the driver of one of the cars, a man, who was inside the car, opened fire on the policemen, after which they fled the scene of the crime," he said.

According to the source, so far there is no information about the attackers.
