120 persons evacuated from Yerevan hotel after bomb report

Rescuers have inspected the "Silachi" Hotel in Yerevan after a call was received from an unknown man, who threatened to blow up the building. The explosive device was not found.

An unknown man called the "911" service at 9:33 p.m. on August 15, and told about a bomb planted in the "Silachi" Hotel located in Tigran Mets Street in Yerevan, a source from the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Armenia told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

By 10:20 p.m., rescuers completed evacuation of 120 people, who were in the hotel, but as a result of inspection nothing dangerous was found, said the source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 15, the staff of the Ministry of Public Health of Armenia was evacuated from the building because of a terror act threat.
