Investigators interrogate relatives of journalists killed in CAR

Forensic medical examinations are to be conducted in the case on the deaths of journalists Orkhan Djemal, Alexander Rastorguev, and Kirill Radchenko in the Central African Republic (CAR). Investigators interrogated relatives, colleagues, and friends of the killed journalists.

Journalist Orkhan Djemal, cameraman Kirill Radchenko, and film director Alexander Rastorguev were killed in the CAR while working on a documentary film. Law enforcers suggest that the journalists fell victim to robbers. At night on August 5, an Air France plane delivered the bodies of the killed journalists to Moscow.

Orkhan Djemal, a co-founder of the Muslim Union of Journalists of Russia, commented on a number of topics for the "Caucasian Knot", including the materials about the disappearance of singer Zelimkhan Bakaev in Chechnya and about the conflict between Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov and the Muftiate.

Let us remind you that Rostov film director Alexander Rastorguev was posthumously declared a laureate of the "Laurel Branch" award.
