Underground shop for making explosives found in Krasnodar Territory

In the homemade laboratory, law enforcers found six kilograms of TNT (trotyl) and ready-to-use striking elements, the local department of the FSB has reported.

According to the department, the homemade substances found in the laboratory would be enough for making 40 kilograms of explosives.

"Various striking elements, grenade shells, electric fuses, bursting charges, gunpowder, mercury fulminate, ammonium nitrate, sulphuric acid, TNT, cartridges, an electronic unit with a battery, indicator and antenna, a control panel, a firing machine, etc., have been withdrawn from illegal circulation," the GTRK (State TV and Radio Company) "Kuban" quotes the spokesman of the above FSB department.

The "Kuban 24" added on August 2, with reference to Ilona Pisareva, the official representative of the FSB department for the Krasnodar Territory, that explosives extracted from World War II ammunition, homemade detonators and mechanisms for activating explosive devices using cellular phones and radio stations were also found in the lab.

The FSB department has informed that the organizers of the laboratory face up to 12 years in prison and a huge fine.
