Video blogger Ilya Davydov (Maddison) has been sentenced to conditional sentence under Article 282 for the video "Joke about the Koran". Earlier, the scandalous video was recognized as an extremist material by the decision of the Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that blogger Ilya Davydov, also known as Maddison, published on YouTube a humorous speech entitled "Joke about the Koran". The Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya demanded to bring the blogger to criminal liability. In April 2017, the video was included in the federal list of extremist materials on the basis of the court's decision.

The speech was shot in 2012, and in 2017, it appeared on the Muslim "Demand Knowledge" channel in Telegram. After that, Ilya Davydov began to receive threats and insults and had to leave Russia.

The Tushino Court of Moscow sentenced video blogger Ilya Davydov (Maddison) to 1.5 years of conditional sentence, the RIA "Novosti" reported on July 16 with reference to Marina Svidirova, the Court's press secretary.

According to Marina Svidirova, the case was considered in a special order, i.e., without examining the evidence and questioning the witnesses. Such a procedure is applied in case when the defendant pleaded completely guilty.
