For the first time in over 10 years, Moscow theatre institute recruits students in Adygea

Four students were selected in the Republic of Adygea by teachers of the Moscow-based Boris Schukin Theatrical Institute for further training for budget funds. The previous recruitment was undertaken in mid-2000s, the local Ministry of Culture has reported.

The contest selection was held on July 3-5 at the National Theatre of Adygea; there were about 30 contenders.

The need for new cadres with theatrical education is a very topical issue for us, said Kasei Khachegogu, the Chief Stage Director of the National Theatre of Adygea.

"This is an important issue not only for Adygea, but for all the theatres of Northern Caucasus. As it was before, the training at best Russia's universities improved the creative level of all Caucasian theatres," Mr Khachegogu explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, for a long time the National Theatre of Adygea has not sent anyone to study in Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

To remedy the situation, Khachegogu applied to the leadership of Adygea.

According to his version, in Moscow, students will absorb basics of acting skills; and later they will raise the local theatrical culture.

Nafset Nuzhieva, the head of the literary and dramatic section of the National Theatre of Adygea, has noted that students are under agreement to return after the training to Adygea and work at the National Theatre for at least five years.
