Serzh Sargsyan's brother wanted

Levon Sargsyan, a brother of the former President of Armenia, is accused in the case of illegal enrichment and is wanted. The charges are also brought against a son and a daughter of Levon Sargsyan, investigators report today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late June, the State Revenue Committee of Armenia announced that according to its information, while being the Armenia's ambassador at large, Levon Sargsyan did not declare bank deposits for a large amount. During a search in a house of his son Narek Sargsyan, law enforcers discovered and seized bank deposit agreements for an amount of about 6.8 million US dollars. According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, the bank deposits were opened in the name of Narek Sargsyan, his sister Ani Sargsyan, and their father.

"In the course of the investigation into the criminal case, it was decided to involve Levon, Ani, and Narek Sargsyan as defendants. The court granted an investigator's request to arrest Levon Sargsyan, and the defendant was put on the wanted list," reports today the website of the Special Investigating Service (SIS) of Armenia.

The son and the daughter of Levon Sargsyan signed recognizance not to leave, the investigators report.
