Authorities of Chechnya report popularity of car sharing in Grozny

During the last four months, the service of short-term car rent in Grozny has become very popular among locals and tourists, the Chechen Tourism Committee has reported. The Grozny townspeople treat the car sharing service as convenient and accessible.

The "Delimobile" Company opened a short-term car rental service in Grozny on February 13. The car fleet in Grozny has 30 cars, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the above Committee.

A Committee source has added that the "Delimobile" service has gained popularity in the republic; young people are most frequently using the short-term car rent. The success of car sharing persuaded the "Delimobile" to launch a new project in Grozny in the near future – the rental service of electric scooters.

Local users of car sharing note the convenience and ease of getting the service.

"At first, it all looked very unclear and complicated, but in fact, it turned out to be very simple: you get registered in the application, find a car nearby, and you may go. For Uraza-Bayram, with my friends we rented a car for a day for 2000 roubles; we went to visit our relatives in Grozny and other districts; everything was fine, "a resident of Grozny named Rasul told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The cars are very comfortable and practical: there is everything in them, including air conditioning and electronic parking; you can get where you need and leave the car there. If it is not rented by someone else within 24 hours, the service workers themselves take the car. It's a very simple and ingenious scheme, and, most importantly, quite accessible," Imran, a Grozny resident, believes.
