Azerbaijani border guard injured on border with Iran

Border guard Ramazan Krupov has been placed to a resuscitation ward after a shootout with suspected violators of the Azerbaijani border.

The incident occurred in the Jalilabad District, where suspected violators of the border with Iran rendered resistance to Azerbaijani border guards.

According to the preliminary information, in the course of the shootout involving soldiers from the Balaken District, Ramazan Krupov got a bullet wound and was hospitalized to the resuscitation ward of the Jalilabad District Hospital, the "Report" announces today.

Ramazan Krupov has undergone surgery, and his condition is assessed as severe, the APA reports.

Till present, no information on the violators of the border has been reported, the APA notes.
