Emergency landing of a military aircraft in Adygea

An L-39 training aircraft of the Krasnodar military flight school has to land outside an airfield in Adygea because of a foreign object in the engine, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) reports.

According to the preliminary information, the incident occurred when the aircraft carried out a training flight.

A foreign object getting into the engine forced the aircraft to land several kilometres from the airfield. "The aircraft commander was alone on board. He came on the radio and reported he was alive," the "Interfax" quotes a source from the MfE as reporting.

The MfE's official website reports no information on the incident.
