Deputy chief physician of Makhachkala hospital stabbed

A deputy chief physician of the Republic's Orthopaedic and Dermatological Centre of Dagestan was stabbed in a brawl between visitors and the staff, a source has reported.

According to the source, the brawl broke out today at the entrance to the hospital. "Visitors came and asked to open the door; according to preliminary data, no one was temporarily admitted to the hospital because of quarantine. The unidentified visitors started a quarrel with the personnel, which turned into a brawl. The deputy chief physician for economic issues wanted to stop the brawlers, but someone stabbed him in his leg. The condition of the injured physician is assessed as of an average gravity," the source said.

The police are looking for the attacker, the "Interfax" quotes its source.

Zalina Murtuzalieva, the press secretary of the Ministry of Public Health of Dagestan, has informed that the attacker has been established, the "Channel 5" reports on its website.

According to the channel, doctor Gadji Magomedov was wounded.
