Dead baby found in Batumi

The body of a newborn child was found on the beach of the resort city of Batumi. Law enforcement bodies have launched an inquiry into the murder case.

According to preliminary data, the baby's neck has an injury; the body was sent to examination.

A criminal case has been opened under "Intentional killing by a mother of her newborn"; the article assumes imprisonment for 3-5 years, the "Sputnik-Georgia" reported on March 10.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in March 2017, the body of an eight-year-old child was found in a river in Georgia. The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that the boy had been listed as missing.
