Ingush law enforcers report their losses in 2017

The head of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has confirmed the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", according to which in 2017 three law enforcers and eight militants were killed in Ingushetia.

It was reported that in 2017, at least 24 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia, of whom 11 were killed and 13 others were wounded, which is by 26% more than in 2016. Last year, the number of armed incidents doubled against 2016, but the number of terror acts decreased by 75%.

In 2017, eight militants were killed, and 36 others were detained, Dmitry Kava, the Ingush Interior Minister, has stated.

According to his story, in 2017, three law enforces were killed and 11 others were wounded, the Internet-based newspaper "Ingushetia" writes. This confirms the trends indicated by the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", namely, a sixfold increase in the number of victims of the armed conflict among law enforcers in comparison with 2016.
