Report on a bomb planted in Makhachkala school is false

The Makhachkala police have found no explosive devices inside a school building, from which pupils have been evacuated today.

Today, the police got an anonymous call with information about an explosion to occur at school No. 42 in Makhachkala.

"The school building was inspected by dog specialists. The alleged presence of an explosive device inside the building was not confirmed. The caller is to be identified," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Tagir Mansurov, the chief of the Mayoralty's Education Department.

The official has noted that on February 21, the school will work as a usual.

In December 2017, after a series of false reports of mining in many Russian cities, the State Duma toughened the maximum punishment for such reports from five up to ten years of imprisonment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in September 2017, people were evacuated from 11 Makhachkala schools because of false reports about explosive devices.
