Vasiliev approves reduction of Dagestani Govt

Today, Vladimir Vasiliev has supported the proposal of Artyom Zdunov, the Prime Minister of Dagestan, to reduce the republic's government.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the government was dismissed in the evening on February 5, after the detention of the then acting Premier Abdusamad Gamidov and his two deputies. On February 7, Artyom Zdunov, the Tatarstan's Minister of Economy, was appointed Prime Minister of Dagestan.

Today, Vladimir Vasiliev met Artyom Zdunov to coordinate and approve the new composition of the Dagestani government.

According to Premier Zdunov, it is planned "to reduce the government by merging certain functional duties and concentration on selected directions."

Also, Mr Zdunov suggested "to introduce the post of First Vice-Premier to be in charge exclusively for replenishing the republic's budget," the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

According to the RIA, Vladimir Vasiliev has approved the proposals.
