Son of killed militant detained in Gubden

Law enforcers have detained Nurmagomed Taimasov, a resident of the village of Gubden, after finding ammunition in his house. According to his relatives, the cartridges and a grenade were planted there.

Relatives link the police's interest in Nurmagomed Taimasov with the fact that he is a Salafi, and his father was killed in a special operation.

The father Taimas Taimasov, 43, was killed on November 20, 2012. Law enforcers then stated that he was the leader of the "Gubden" grouping of militants and a relative of one of the leaders of the Dagestani underground.

Relatives insist that Nurmagomed Taimasov did nothing illegal; he is an electrician and has his dependent wife, mother and younger brother, a Gubden villager told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"He was a quiet guy, who did nothing bad... The whole village saw that he worked for survival and fed his family," said the villager.
