In Volgograd, 27 people hold march in defence of Constitution

On November 5, in Volgograd, 27 city residents held a march to the buildings of the regional and city administrations, the Chief Department for the Volgograd Region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the FSB, as well as to the presidential envoy's residence. Participants of the action spoke out against corruption and in defence of the Constitution.

"We have publicly stated that the Constitution prohibits interethnic strife and terrorism. Meanwhile, the word of 'extremism' is never mentioned," said Anatoly Boltykhov, the coordinator of the "International Human Rights Alliance" in the Volgograd Region.

He has emphasized that the marchers demanded to abolish all acts on combating extremism as unconstitutional.

"We have also set up an anti-corruption committee, which included two lawyers and initiative citizens. Residents of Volgograd and the Volgograd Region may inform our anti-corruption committee of the facts of corruption known to them," reported Anatoly Boltykhov. He has also added that today, on November 6, "the solemn opening ceremony" of the office will take place.
