Dagestani resident accused of causing girl's death from electric current

A criminal case against a resident of Dagestan who installed electricity supply to premises at a rural public spring shortly before the death of a six-year-old child was brought to court.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 12, a six-year-old girl touched bare wires in the public spring premises in the Kabir village of the Kurakh District. The child died from electric current.

According to investigators, in August, a 63-year-old resident of the town of Dagestanskie Ogni installed electricity supply to the rural spring premises in violation of safety measures.

He is charged under Article "causing death by negligence," reports the website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
