Imam Chumakov associates attempt on him with patrons of Ingush criminals

Khamzat Chumakov, Imam of the Nasyr-Kort mosque, has suggested that an attempt on his life was prepared by Ingush criminal clans, which patrons stay outside the republic. According to the Imam, the mosque in Nasyr-Kort works as usual.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 2, it became known about the detention of two persons who, according to the FSB, planned to blow up the religious figure in Ingushetia. On October 3, the "Kommersant" reported that the suspects were plotting an assassination of Imam Khamzat Chumakov.

"I associate the plans for an attempt on my life with the fact that there are criminal clans in the republic, patronized by external forces," Imam Chumakov said.

Earlier, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has sharply criticized Ingush preachers Khamzat Chumakov and Isa Tsechoev. On February 2, 2016, Ramzan Kadyrov said if Khamzat Chumakov and Isa Tsechoev would try to preach in Chechnya, "they would lose their heads."

Let us remind you that Khamzat Chumakov survived the assassination attempt on September 14, 2010. An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded under his car in Nazran, and the Imam got his leg amputated. The second attempt on Khamzat Chumakov was committed in Nazran on March 11, 2016.
