Fire victims from Mokok call their village "Russian Aleppo"

The authorities, who promised to pay compensation to fire victims from Mokok, do nothing to keep their promise. This was reported by local residents. At present, the Dagestani village with burned down houses "looks like the Syrian city of Aleppo," noted Tagir Magomedov, a local resident.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, on the anniversary of the fire in the village of Mokok, about 200 fire victims came to a protest action. According to them, none of the officials from the republican or municipal authorities attended the action.

On August 21, 2016, the fire in the village of Mokok deprived of housing 480 people, including 190 children.

"Many residents have fallen into despair in wait for compensation. They take huge loans and begin to build houses. They lost hope for justice and humanity of our state," Tagir Magomedov wrote in Facebook.

On August 13, Tagir Magomedov posted in YouTube a video entitled "Mokok in the Tsuntin District reminds Aleppo". "As a result of the fire, the Mokok village in the Tsuntin District of Dagestan is almost completely burned down ... Now I will show you the ruins that remained in the village. A year has passed, but no one pays attention to the situation in the village," said the local resident. In the comments, Internet users called the situation in the village a "shame of Dagestan and Russia."
