"Sberbank" top manager arrested in Rostov-on-Don

Gennady Musienko, the deputy chairman for the "Sberbank" branch in Rostov-on-Don, was taken into custody in a case on fraud. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies. Officials from the "Sberbank" confirmed the detention of Gennady Musienko, but refused to report the details.

"The 'Sberbank' confirms that the law enforcement agencies detained Gennady Musienko, the deputy chairman of the South-Western branch," the RIA "Novosti" quotes today the source as reporting.

An official from the press service for the South-Western branch has refused to provide details and explained his refusal by the interests of the investigation, the TASS reports today.

Gennady Musienko was detained in the case of a major fraud, the "161.ru" reported on August 14 with reference to a source from the law enforcement agencies without specifying the date of the banker's detention.

On August 14, the Leninsky District Court decided to take Gennady Musienko into custody, the edition reports.
