Denis Matsuev's "Crescendo" music festival opened in Sochi

On July 19, Sochi opened the 13th "Crescendo" International Music Festival organized by Denis Matsuev, People's Artist of Russia and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

According to the idea of the organizers, the music festival's goal is to open new names for the Russian performing school.

The opening ceremony of the "Crescendo" music festival was attended by young musicians, and the youngest of them was five years old, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"We are open to any talented people. The 'Crescendo' music festival has a lot of agents, in a good sense of the word. We have our musicians who are scattered all over the world and who watch our compatriots in different countries. And, of course, we pay attention to winners of different contests. If a new talent appears, then we will for sure notice that fact," said Denis Matsuev during a press conference.

"If we talk about some of our achievements and recent successes in culture, then, of course, this is a new generation of listeners who are brought up going to concerts of classical music. There is no such thing in Europe and the US. And such young talents also come on the stage and play for the younger generation. Yesterday, we had a concert at the 'Sirius' Centre. And children played music for children. You cannot imagine such a wonderful atmosphere that was at the concert," the musician has added.
