Ekazhevo village administration starts paying compensations to flood victims

The authorities have started paying compensation to families of the Ekazhevo village, affected by the flood resulting from heavy rain. This was reported by Khadjimurad Sapraliev, the head of the Ekazhevo village administration.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 29, in the village of Ekazhevo, the Sunzha River came out of its banks as a result of a downpour. 32 private houses, a mosque, a school, and two shopping centres were flooded. The flooded houses in Bekov   Street accommodate 105 people.

"The authorities of the republic pay 75,000 roubles to every person who suffered during the flood," Khadjimurad Sapraliev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He has also added that additional material assistance will be paid to the families who lost their property as a result of the natural disaster and whose houses and yards suffered damage.

The head of the administration has noted that even with the help of volunteers, it was not possible to completely clean the village of mud. "In some places, a layer of mud reached a meter," the official said.
