Leopard that escaped from his owner caught on following day in Dagestan

A leopard that escaped from its owner on the shore of the Caspian Sea was caught in Dagestan after the owner announced a reward and urged people not to come close to the predator.

According to the leopard's owner, the predator escaped at night on June 24 during a walk along the seashore near the village of Novolaki and Black Stones.

The leopard's owner called on people not to come close to the predator and noted that "the leopard could attack people and threaten their lives." The animal's owner also announced a large reward for information about the leopard, the "Ren-TV" reported on June 24.

The leopard was found an hour after the reward had been announced. The leopard's owner noted that "everything went without tragedies." "Everyone can be calm. Now it is not dangerous to let children go to the holiday of Eid al-Fitr," said the animal's owner as quoted by the "AiF-Dagestan".
