Pilot killed in aircraft crash in Kabardino-Balkaria

A Sigma-4 aircraft crashed in the Urvan District of Kabardino-Balkaria. A pilot of a light aircraft was killed in the accident.

According to the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), a report on the crash of a light-engine aircraft was received at 1:30 p.m. Moscow time on June 25.

"A Sigma-4 light-engine aircraft fell on the field near the village of Urvan. The pilot of the aircraft got fatal injuries," reports the message posted on the website of the MfE for Kabardino-Balkaria.

A Sigma-4 aircraft is designed for initial training, tourism, sports, and outdoor activities, reports the website of the "Sigma" Design Bureau.
