"Kommersant": Davudov and accomplices planned to commit terror act in metro

Magomed Davudov, a native of Dagestan, and three natives of Central Asia, arrested in Moscow, had planned to commit a series of terror acts. They were planned at the restaurant and "Teply Stan" metro station, the "Kommersant" writes with reference to its sources.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the four suspects were detained on May 25 in the Moscow neighbourhood of Novo-Peredelkino. According to the FSB, the grouping was part of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia, and was commanded from Syria. Davudov told the court that he was born in Dagestan and rented an apartment in Moscow, where he works as a forklift driver.

According to his testimonies and those of his accomplices, their goal was to attack a restaurant where "Kafirs eat pork," but then they decided to blow up the "Teply Stan" metro station in Moscow, the "Kommersant" reports.

"According to instructions received by Telegram from Turkey, they had to commit their terror acts in Moscow on the eve of the Football Confederation Cup (the tournament scheduled in Russia for June 17-July 2, – note of the "Caucasian Knot")," the article says.

According to sources of the edition, the criminals planned an attack in the metro station "for Friday evening, when the station is especially crowded."
