Mufti of North Ossetia condemns attacks on Beslan's mothers after they win case at ECtHR

After the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has pronounced its decision on the complaints filed by the victims of the seizure of the Beslan school, people started posting comments in social networks with condemnation of the complainants. Khadjimurat Gatsalov, Mufti of North Ossetia, spoke in support of the mothers of Beslan. The victims voiced their intention to transfer part of their compensation to family members of the people killed in the terror act in the Saint Petersburg metro.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 13, the ECtHR recognized the violation of the rights of relatives of the people killed and injured during the seizure of the Beslan school in 2004. 409 complainants were awarded the compensation in the amount of 2,955,000 euros.

Mufti Khadjimurat Gatsalov believes that the mothers of Beslan deserve respect and support.

"They are living so well in North Ossetia in luxurious houses provided to them by the Russian authorities," Asya Nanieva comments on the page of the "Alanya24" portal on the news about the awarded compensation.

"It turned out that a huge number of people (from among Ossetians!) are burning with hatred against those unfortunate people for the fact that they 'do not sit silently and mourn in silence, but demand something'," notes the article "The class of the people" published on the "hohag.com" portal.

According to Ella Kesaeva, the chair of the public committee "Voice of Beslan", people who understand the situation support the authors of the complaints to the ECtHR.

Let us remind you that the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) intends to appeal against the ECtHR' verdict.
