Source reports bomb found in the house of Maryam Sharipova’s mother

A “shahid belt” was found in the house of Patimat Murshidova, the mother of the suicide bomber Maryam Sharipova, who, according to investigators, blew herself up in the Moscow metro on March 29, 2010, a law enforcement source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on March 29, 2010, terror acts were committed in "Lubyanka" and "Park Kultury" metro stations in Moscow, killing 40 people. According to special services, the explosion in "Lubyanka" was committed by Maryam Sharipova, a native of Dagestan, who had been a wife of the militant Magomedali Vagabov. The other female suicide bomber is identified as 17-year-old Djenet Abdurakhmanova, the widow of the leader of Dagestani militant Umalat Magomedov, who was killed in late December 2009.

"In the house, where Patimat Murshidova lived, in the village of Balakhani, Untsukul District, a ‘shahid belt’ stuffed with explosives was found; the hostess was detained," said the law enforcement source. The belt was detonated on the spot; its power is estimated at 500 grams of TNT (trotyl) equivalent, he added.
