Tenants of “Neptun” boarding house in Sochi warned about eviction
On March 24, a court marshal warned the three families remaining in the “Neptun” boarding house about eviction them without providing other housing. Svetlana Moiseenko with her two children and the Martynov family should do it before April 1, the Manukov family - before June 1. The tenants have stated that they have nowhere to move.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2016 the city administration already tried to evict the “Neptun” tenants – Olympic settlers and victims of natural disasters.
The 60-year-old spouses Natalia and Andrei Martynov live in Sochi since 1994. Having sold their only housing, they bought a land plot and a house in the Imereti Lowland. During the preparation for the Winter Olympics, it turned out that the former landlady had failed to draw up property documents; therefore, the house and the land plot were confiscated from the Martynovs for free in favour of the state.
"Eviction into the street from the manoeuvrable (reserve) housing fund is unacceptable within the framework of Article 40 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, guaranteeing all citizens of the Russian Federation the right to housing, and within the framework of Article 91 of the Russia’s Housing Code, which states that eviction into the street is possible only in two cases: if a tenant destroys the housing, and if he/she has been deprived of parental rights," said Mikhail Okhrimenko, a lawyer of the Territorial Bar Association.
He added that the court marshal has no right to evict parents with children out of their only housing.
