US Congress voices support of Georgia's territorial integrity
The resolution, which calls on the US administration to work closely with Georgia in the spheres of defence and security, has been adopted by majority votes of the Congress.
The document has been supported by 410 votes, while six members of Congress voted against it.
According to the document, the congressmen called on the US administration not to recognize the de facto Russian control over any part of Georgia and to support the territorial integrity of the country, the "Georgia-Online" reports on March 2.
Besides, the Congress calls on the Russian authorities to withdraw the recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The US administration congressmen called on for closer cooperation with Georgia, including in the spheres of defence and security, the "Frontnews.ge" reports on March 2.
