In Sochi, court marshals postpone eviction of Dyakov family (+video)

Without any explanations, a court marshal did not execute the court's decision to evict the Dyakov family with many children from an apartment, earlier provided to them from the manoeuvrable fund. In their turn, members of public organizations and residents of Sochi demanded from the Prosecutor's Office to protect the right of the Dyakov family members to housing.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 13, 2015, the Sochi Court granted the claim filed by the City Mayor's Office to evict the Dyakov family from an apartment of the manoeuvrable fund. The Dyakov spouses twice appealed to Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov with a request for social housing for them, but received refusals. On February 8, the court dismissed the Dyakov family's request to review the decision on their eviction.

Prior to moving to the apartment of the manoeuvrable fund, the Dyakov family members lived in a house that was demolished during the construction of roads in preparation for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games.

On February 28, after standing for about an hour in front of the house, where the Dyakov family members lived, court marshal Andrei Zorinovsky together with officials of the Sochi administration left the place of enforcement actions, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Sochi residents and members of public organizations came to protest against the eviction of the Dyakov family.

According to Nina Rogachova, a member of the public movement "Sochi Open", the authorities ignore Article 40 (everyone has the right to housing) of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which is to protect the citizens' rights.

"The Constitution obliges the authorities to provide the guaranteed right of our citizens to housing rather than to deny it," noted Nina Rogachova.
