Residents of North Ossetia ask to identify priorities for improving residential districts

The government of North Ossetia has announced that the address list of works on improvement of households in the capital and regional centres of the republic will be formed on the results of public hearings prior to April 1. At first, trees should be planted at city yards, and order should be brought to parking of vehicles. This opinion was reported by residents of Vladikavkaz, questioned by the "Caucasian Knot".

Akhsarbek Fadzaev, Deputy Prime Minister of North Ossetia, has explained that the republic takes part in the federal programme on creation of a comfortable urban environment. For these purposes, the republic expects funding from Moscow in the amount of 142 million roubles. Besides, other 13 million roubles will be allocated from the budget of the republic. Another part of the funds will be allocated from municipal budgets.

Valentina Tegkaeva from Beslan, an activist of the North Ossetian branch of the interregional organization "Nefro-League", has said that comfortable environment in city yards should take into account the interests of various age groups of the population.

The improvement and landscaping of yards should be aimed at planting of trees; however, it is a hard challenge for Vladikavkaz. This opinion was voiced by local resident Sergey Kravchenko. According to him, because of lack of parking spaces, many car owners park their cars in the yards and often on the lawns.

German Farniev, a designer with 25 years of experience, has noted that the creation of a comfortable urban environment is an urgent problem faced by the republic for a long time.
