Two persons killed in CTO near Kizlyar

Today, at 9:15 a.m., the village of Vperyod of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. One of the houses in the village was surrounded by power agents who started a shootout with those in the house.

The fight was short and resulted in two casualties, said a law enforcement source.

In the course of the CTO, no power agents were hurt, the "Life" wrote at 11:03 a.m., citing its law enforcement source.

The suspected killed militants haven't been identified yet, but, according to preliminary version of law enforcers, they were members of the armed underground and fighters of the "Khasavyurt" gang, whose bunker was found and destroyed in the Endirey Forest, the "Interfax" quotes its local law enforcement source.

Let us remind you that in November 2016 power agents reported that they had found a militants' summer camp in the forest near the village of Endirey. The camp had five tents, 30 sleeping ledges and ten sleeping bags, numerous foodstuffs, gas cylinders and power batteries.
