Resident of Ingushetia suspected of killing his son

A resident of Nazran, suspected of a murder, has been detained and taken to a SIZO (pre-trial prison). The conflict occurred when the man suspected his son of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs), reports a source from the regional law enforcement bodies.

According to the source, the man shot at his son, when he tried to take his pistol. The suspect is detained and taken to the SIZO.

The source from the law enforcement bodies has reported that a resident of Ingushetia shot at his son during a quarrel, after he had discovered a pistol and suspected his son of involvement in IAFs, the "Interfax" reports.

"According to the preliminary information, at about 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (January 15), in Nazran, a 51-year-old local resident discovered a Makarov pistol among the belongings of his 25-year-old son and suspected him of involvement in the armed underground. The father and the son had a quarrel, during which the father shot at his son as a result of careless handling of the pistol," reports a source from the Investigating Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
