Chechen native Abu Anas al-Shishani declared killed in Iraq
According to the Iraqi forces, an air strike in the southern suburbs of Mosul killed Abu Anas al-Shishani, a native of Chechnya, one of the leaders of the organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia by court.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 29, Pentagon spokesman John Dorrian announced that in the course of air strikes, the US-led coalition "eliminated three natives of Chechnya near the Iraqi city of Mosul." According to John Dorrian, the killed militants were Abdul-Hamid al-Shishani, Abdul-Jabir al-Shishani, and Abdul-Rakhman al-Shishani. The literal translation of "al-Shishani" from the Arabic means "from Chechnya".
Abu Anas al-Shishani, who was treated as one of the leaders of the "Islamic State" (IS, earlier ISIL, recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization, which activities are prohibited by court's decision), was killed in an air strike in the southern suburbs of Mosul, where, according to the Iraqi forces, a group of militants was hiding, the "TASS" reports with reference to the "Akhbar Iraq".
