In Sochi, the City Mayor has met people affected by the fire and stated that until October 24, the developer is to respond to appeals filed by tenants of the house destroyed by the fire in Tsyurupa Street, who demanded to pay them financial compensation or provide them with equivalent housing.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 18, in Sochi, the house In No. 4 in Tsyurupa Street caught fire, and flames spread to a neighbouring building.
On October 20, at the office of the City Mayor, three owners of the apartments affected by the fire were met by Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov, Andrei Leventyuk, the deputy chief of the legal department of the Sochi administration, developer Arsen Saditierov, and his advocate Roman Yakovlev, reports the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the owners of the apartments, the burnt house is destroyed, and it is impossible to live in it. They demanded from the developer to pay 23 million roubles or provide equivalent comfortable housing in the same area.
Andrei Leventyuk has reported that "Arsen Saditierov legally built a multi-storey building on their land, and the land does not belong to the fire victims."
According to Andrei Puzanov, a fire victim, the plans of the Sochi Mayoralty are designed not in the interests of the law and the people, but in the interests of the developer.
