Outcomes of alternative vote tabulation in Georgia coincide with CEC data

The election outcomes in Georgia, presented by the Central Election Commission (CEC), and the calculations of the NGO "Fair Elections", based on a parallel methodology, are not contradictory, said NGO activists, but demanded to cancel the outcomes from the stations, where violations were recorded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 8, Georgia held its parliamentary elections; the contenders were six electoral blocs and 19 parties.

The "Fair Elections" conducted its own vote calculation across Georgia by a parallel voting technique (PVT), allowing assessing the whole voting and counting process, said Mikhail Benidze, an NGO activist.

According to his story, the "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia" won between 48.02% and 50% of the votes; the "United National Movement" (UNM) – some 25.9-27.7% of votes.

"'David Tarkhan-Mouravi, Irma Inashvili – Alliance of Georgian Patriots'; the 'United Opposition' won some 4.6-5.2%; the 'Irakli Alasaniya – Free Democrats' – 4.6-5.2%; 'Paata Burchuladze - State for People' – 4.3-4.9%; 'Nino Burjanadze – Democratic Movement' – 3.2-3.6%;' Shalva Natelashvili – Georgian Labour Movement' – 2.9-3.3%; and 'Usupashvili – Republicans' – 1.4-1.65%," said Mikhail Benidze.
