Resident of Krasnodar complains about protraction of inquiry into his torture by police

The inquiry into the case of the Krasnodar policeman, accused of abuse of power with use of violence to a detainee, is unreasonably dragging on, while the second infringer figures in the case only as a witness. This was stated by the victim named Arthur Teryan. He claims that he received threats, ignored by investigators.

According to Teryan, on March 14, he came to a police station, because the buyer of his car had problems with documenting his purchase. There, he was beaten up, he asserts.

On March 15, he underwent a medical examination; and doctors diagnosed him with "brain concussion". Teryan said that as a result of received traumas he began losing his sight.

According to Arthur Teryan, in the first days of the investigation, he showed the investigator photos of both policemen, who were beating him, but identification of the second policeman, who is so far a witness in the case, was carried out only on September 16.

Mr Teryan has added that October 15 is the deadline for the preliminary investigation.
