Wall of police station collapses in Armavir

A collapse of a part of the wall of the one-storey building of the division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) took place in Marshal Zhukov Street in the city of Armavir. No one was injured.

The accident occurred on August 15. The wall collapsed in the building housing the licensing-permitting division of the MIA.

The accident did not affect the work of the division, the "Yuga.ru" website has reported today.

The building itself remains safe, the roof and other walls have not collapsed. It was built in the middle of the last century. The supposed cause of the collapse is the erosion of the foundation by recent rains, the website "Kuban24" reports citing its law enforcement source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 11 a hurricane wind and rain broke power lines in Armavir, damaged roofs and uprooted trees. The rain lasted for about 24 hours.
