Georgian Military Road starts operating without restrictions

The restrictions in force for travelling on the Georgian Military Road are lifted in connection with the normalization of the situation in the territory of Georgia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 23, the Georgian Military Road was closed after a landslide. On July 6, the traffic at the section Vladikavkaz-Verkhny Lars was restricted.

On July 13, it was reported on the introduction of restrictions on night traffic on the Georgian Military Road. On July 10, drivers expressed their dissatisfaction with the poor organization of traffic.

At present, at the section Vladikavkaz-Verkhny Lars town, the traffic of all types of vehicles in both directions is permitted from 4:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., reports the website of the Chief Department for North Ossetia of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
