Fate of Secretary of "United Abkhazia" is unknown

The abductors of Irina Dochiya, the Secretary of the Political Council of the "United Abkhazia" Party, have not put forward any demands yet, and have not come in touch with her colleagues and relatives.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Irina Dochiya, born in 1980, the Secretary of the Political Council of the "United Abkhazia" Party, was abducted on July 2, 2016, at 11:30 p.m. near her house in Leon Street in Sukhumi. This was reported on July 4 by Ruslan Tyrkba, the Sukhumi Public Prosecutor.

Law enforcers cannot locate Irina Dochiya, Sergey Shamba, the Chairman of the party, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "We are in constant touch with law enforcement bodies; they say that they are investigating the abduction and there is some encouraging information, which is not disclosed," said Mr Shamba, adding, at the same time, that so far, the abductors had not contacted Irina's relatives and colleagues. Therefore, the reasons for the abduction are not clear.
