Experts treat improvement of Russian-Turkish relations as threat for Armenia

Today, the Yerevan Media Centre has hosted the press conference on the topic "The political and economic impact on Armenia of the settlement of the Russian-Turkish relations". This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In the course of the press conference, Shirak Torosyan, a deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia, has suggested that the current improvement in the Russian-Turkish relations "relates to the fact that Turkey has realized that it carries political and economic losses." And Shirak Torosyan believes that Turkey will try to use the improvement of its relations with Russia against Armenia.

"In turn, Armenia should be prepared to prevent Turkey from using its rapprochement with Russia to implement its anti-Armenian programmes," said Shirak Torosyan.

Meanwhile, according to him, "Turkey will be able to achieve success in the implementation of its anti-Armenian programmes in the case if Russia allows doing that."

"So much the more, the Russia's policy is not always based on the interests of Armenia, despite the strategic and economic cooperation of the countries," noted Shirak Torosyan.
