Syrian rights defenders report on clinical death of Abu Umar al-Shishani

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reports that Abu Umar al-Shishani (Tarkhan Batirashvili), a native of Georgia, one of the leaders of the terrorist grouping "Islamic State" (IS), has been in a state of clinical death for several days already.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that the Pentagon reported an air attack carried out on March 4 in the Syrian province of al-Hasakah to kill Abu Umar al-Shishani. On March 9, relatives of Tarkhan Batirashvili and residents of the Georgian Pankisi Gorge claimed that there was no confirmation of the information about his death. According to the Syrian rights defenders, Tarkhan Batirashvili was hospitalized with serious injury.

Tarkhan Batirashvili is unable to breathe on his own, and he is connected to a lung ventilation unit. This was reported by Rami Abdel Rahman, the head of the Syrian Observatory on Human Rights.

According to him, one of the leaders of the terrorist organization is in a hospital in the city of Al-Raqqah, a stronghold of the IS in Syria, the "BBC" reports.

The medical treatment of Tarkhan Batirashvili involves foreign physicians, the "TASS" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that the death of Abu Umar al-Shishani was reported at least seven times, and his capture was also once reported; however, those data were not confirmed.
