Tamerlan Aguzarov elected leader of North Ossetia
Today, at the session of the Parliament of North Ossetia, Tamerlan Aguzarov was elected the leader of the republic, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 21, the consultations were held on the issue of nomination of the candidates for the post of the head of North Ossetia. 21 parties supported the nomination of Tamerlan Aguzarov to the post of the acting head of the republic. In early August, a list of ten candidates for the post of the head of North Ossetia was sent to Vladimir Putin.
On August 24, the Russian President introduced candidates, including Tamerlan Aguzarov, Elbrus Bokoev, the secretary of the regional Public Chamber, and regional MP Elena Knyazeva, for the consideration by the North-Ossetian Parliament.
In the course of the secret voting, the majority of MPs voted for Tamerlan Aguzarov.
On June 5, Taimuraz Mamsurov was dismissed from the post of the head of the North Ossetia in connection with the expiration of his term. Tamerlan Agouzarov then became the acting head of the republic.
