"Peacebuilding UK" suggests North-Caucasian NPOs to invite foreign colleagues for exchanging experiences

A charitable organization named "Peacebuilding UK" has offered the non-profit organizations (NPOs) of Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria to take part in the experience exchange programmes with human rights defenders from other countries. The earlier programme, announced by the British organization aimed to develop a system for attracting private donations for NPOs' activities, was successfully implemented, said the organizers.

The programme, designed by the "Peacebuilding UK", is called "Global Networks for Civil Society in Northern Caucasus". It offers an opportunity for actively operating NPOs to invite an activist from some other country, who will spend ten weeks in the local NPO. In autumn of 2015, three activists will be invited for the first time to Northern Caucasus, says the release of the organization.

In December 2014, the "Peacebuilding UK" offered NPOs of Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria to participate in the programme of attracting private donations.

Oleg Skvortsov, an expert in fundraising, said that in Chechnya he was interested in the achievements of the non-profit foundation "Barakat" and the autonomous independent organization "Women for Development".

In Ingushetia, he drew attention to the experience of the charity fund "Myal", whose main activity is to support invalids and people with disabilities. Also of his particular interest were the activities of the regional public organization "Association of Teachers of Ingushetia".

In Dagestan, he managed to work only in Kizlyar with the organization named "Do Good".
